The Red Sox are "still gathering info" to determine whether or not they will pursue Derek Lowe, according to a source. Cleveland designated the right-hander for assignment on Wednesday. Lowe, who pitched for the Red Sox once before, is making $15 million in the final season of a four-year, $60 million contract.
