Ryan Dempster will return from injury to pitch on Sunday in Chicago's final game of the first half. Dempster has been on the disabled list with a sore right shoulder since June 16. "He says he feels as good as he has all year," manager Dale Sveum said. "It's just a matter of durability issues. But the guy keeps himself in phenomenal shape. That's part of the decision. If it was somebody else besides Ryan Dempster, you probably wouldn't even have been thinking about this." Dempster will be on a limit of 70 to 80 pitches. The right-hander's 2.11 ERA would rank first in the National League if he had enough innings to qualify.
