The Red Sox have sent struggling starter Daniel Bard to Triple-A Pawtucket. The converted reliever has not performed well as a member of the team's starting rotation this season. Bard's latest appearance on Sunday against the Blue Jays was by far his worst since joining the Red Sox's rotation this year. Over 1 2/3 innings, he allowed five runs, walked six and hit two batters. He was 5-6 with a 5.24 ERA in 11 appearances, including 10 starts.
