Gio Gonzalez allowed just one hit in seven innings as Washington completed a sweep of Atlanta on Sunday.
"It's huge," Bryce Harper said of Washington's first three-game sweep of the season.
Gonzalez (7-1) struck out 10 batters.
He was acquired in an offseason trade after a combined 31 wins the last two seasons in Oakland.
