The Astros have been unable to trade Wandy Rodriguez in recent years because of his high salary.
However, the left-hander is pitching well enough in 2012 to catch up a bit to the size of his contract.
He is earning $13 million this season.
Rodriguez is only 3-3 but he has a 1.99 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and .205 batting average against.
There were no takers for him this past winter, but that may change this summer.
The one caveat is the $13-million option for 2014 that transforms from a club option to player option in the event of a trade.
