A.J. Burnett allowed one run during a rehab start with Single-A Bradenton on Friday.
The right-hander pitched 4 2/3 innings against the Port St. Lucie Mets.
"I probably could have (gone) more out there, but they have an idea about what they want to do. They have a program and we're sticking with it," Burnett said.
Burnett had surgery March 2 to repair a fractured right orbital bone.
