Brandon Belt has logged significant time at three positions this spring as the Giants look for the right spot for him. In a battle with Aubrey Huff and Brett Pill, he's second on the team with 41 innings at first base. He also ranks among the leaders in left field (18) and right (17). "In his case, it's going to come down to the last days (of spring training)," general manager Brian Sabean said. "We'll have to weigh how much flexibility and how much versatility each person selected gives to the team. We're still evaluating (Belt) in the outfield." First base is Belt's best position, but in addition to Huff and Pill, San Francisco plans to play Buster Posey there at times this season.
