The Phillies believe that Chase Utley will be ready for Opening Day, but the second baseman's right knee tendinitis isn't going away.
Utley has chronic tendinitis in his right knee and the condition cost him the first 47 games of last season.
"His problem is not going away. More than likely, it might never go away," says Charlie Manuel.
The issue must be constantly managed.
