David Robertson plans to be ready for Opening Day as long as he has no setbacks relating to his injured right foot.
The Yankees right-hander suffered the injury last week while falling down stairs at his home in the process of carrying empty boxes.
A number of tests revealed a bone bruise.
The walking boot has been removed and the reliever has begun playing catch.
"It feels much better, I don't have the soreness in the bottom of the foot walking around," Robertson said on Monday.
