Opening Day "probably is not realistic" for Carl Crawford, according to Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine. Crawford has been examined and his troublesome wrist will force him to rest for an additional 5-7 days. "A little inflammation was detected," Valentine said of Crawford's surgically repaired left wrist. In early January, Crawford underwent a debridement of the triangular fibrocartilage complex of his wrist, which is on the pinkie finger side of the wrist and affects the ability to rotate the wrist.
