Carl Crawford won't swing a bat for a few days because of inflammation in his surgically repaired left wrist.
"He probably overdid it a little bit," Bobby Valentine said.
Crawford, who did not swing a bat Friday, is taking anti-inflammatory medication, but the Red Sox expect the issue is only a minor setback.
The outfielder underwent a debridement of the triangular fibrocartilage complex of his left wrist in early January.
