Nick Swisher expects to become a free agent after the 2012 season. The right-fielder, who is entering the final year of his contract, will not negotiate during the regular season. "The Yankees aren't traditionally an organization that does do multiyears in the middle of a contract," said Swisher. "They are a team that, you're going to have to test the free-agent market. You're going to have to because that's how the Yankees work." The Yankees picked up Swisher's $10.5 million option this winter.
