The Rangers are looking to sign free-agent first baseman Prince Fielder, according to a National League executive. Texas would then trade first baseman Mitch Moreland to the Rays for pitcher Wade Davis. However, a person with knowledge of the team's plans said those scenarios weren't close to materializing.
