The New York Daily News is reporting that the Marlins have turned their attention towards free-agent first baseman Prince Fielder.
Miami's expectation is that Albert Pujols will re-sign with the Cardinals.
Sources told The Daily News on Wednesday that Pujols and the Cardinals are believed to be "a few million dollars apart" on a 10-year contract.
It is believed that both players will wind up signing 10-year contracts in the $215-220 million range.
