The Blue Jays have made calls about free-agent reliever Ryan Madson. Madson was reportedly close to a deal to re-sign with the Phillies this past week, but talks broke down and Philadelphia ended up agreeing to a record contract with former Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon.
