The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim had the reigning American League MVP back in the lineup for their interleague series against the New York Mets. Before Friday's series opener, the Angels activated Vladimir Guerrero from the 15-day disabled list. He made an immediate impact, collecting three hits and scoring three runs in the Angels' 12-2 victory at Shea Stadium. "He makes everyone around him better. There's no question what he does to a lineup," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "It's not going to relate to 12 runs all the time." The star right fielder has been sidelined since May 21, one day after suffering a partial dislocation of his left shoulder sliding awkwardly into the plate while attempting to avoid a tag.
