The Brewers reinstated right-handed starter Rick Helling to start Tuesday's game against the Tigers. Helling made two relief appearances for the Brewers before going on the disabled list with a sprained right elbow. A 15-year veteran with stints in Texas, Florida, Arizona, Baltimore and Florida, Helling was 3-1 with a 2.39 ERA for Nashville last year and is 93-79 with a 4.68 ERA for his career.
