The Brewers expect to sit down with some of their young players to discuss contract extensions this winter. Milwaukee first baseman Prince Fielder will be a free agent and will garner a ton of attention, but general manager Doug Melvin expects to discuss deals with pitchers Zack Greinke and Shaun Marcum as well. Greinke and Marcum will both hit the market after the 2012 season. "We have to sit down and look at the whole layout of the ballclub," Melvin said. "We've done that preliminarily, what we want to do long-term. Starting pitching is a key thing, but we have some other players we might sit down with, too, and talk about long-term deals."
