It has been speculated that the Rangers could make a play for CC Sabathia if he does exercise the opt out clause in his contract and become a free agent this winter. However, a Rangers team source says there is "no way" that would happen. Sabathia signed with the Yankees as a free agent prior to the 2009 season.
