Buster Posey's long rehab officially included baseball activities Saturday. He played catch for a few minutes from 60 feet, a first step in a long process to rebuild strength and range of motion in his reconstructed left ankle. "I never thought I'd be so excited driving to the field today just to play catch for seven minutes," said Posey, who fractured his left leg and tore three ankle ligaments in a home-plate collision May 25. "It's a big confidence boost, even something as simple as playing catch. It's so nice." Posey will leave for Arizona in another week. He plans to be there for six weeks or so before heading back to his home in Georgia for the offseason. While in Arizona, Posey plans to catch some bullpens in instructional league. He said he hasn't encountered one setback thus far. "No pain," Posey said. "It's just stiff and weak. The biggest challenge is getting the range of motion back."
