Jim Thome is a member of the Indians once again, something he wasn't sure was possible not too long ago. "Baseball's a weird thing," Thome said. "Anything can happen." Thome, one of eight players in history to hit 600 career homers, accepted a trade on Thursday by Minnesota to go back to Cleveland. He received a roaring ovation when he came up for the first time Friday at Progressive Field. Before his first at-bat for Cleveland since 2002, he took off his batting helmet, bowed slightly and dug into the batter's box. "You always think about one day returning, and when you're given the opportunity, it was really a no-brainer," he said. "I'm excited. I'm happy to be here."
