Blue Jays manager John Farrell has been diagnosed with pneumonia after leaving Thursday's game against the Royals because of pain in his left side. "He was moving a little funny," Toronto bench coach Don Wakamatsu said. "He's been checked out, It was a muscle spasm." Farrell, 48, left the dugout in the eighth inning and came back in the ninth before leaving again. He has been released from hospital and is expected to return to the team on Friday.
