Outfielder Joey Gathright was optioned to Triple-A Durham after Tuesday's game to make room on the roster for Rocco Baldelli, who is returning from his rehab stint in Durham. Rays manager Joe Maddon said barring any complications with travel plans and arrival times, Baldelli will be in Wednesday's lineup against the Angels. Baldelli has yet to appear in a game this season for the Rays. Most recently, he's been nursing a strained hamstring.
