Kevin Millwood, who last pitched in the Majors approximately 10 months ago, will start for the Rockies on Wednesday night against the Reds. In his last appearance, he pitched seven scoreless innings for the Orioles against the Rays. The 14-year veteran recently opted out of the Red Sox organization after pitching well at Triple-A Pawtucket and signed with Colorado. "This kind of came out of nowhere for me," Millwood said. "I had heard a little bit about this becoming a possibility on Saturday. Then I left Sunday to go home and that's kind of when it all happened. I was going home to Gainesville, Ga., about an hour north of Atlanta. I was going home and living my life. I kind of had come to the point where I was OK with it."
