The Pirates are in a free fall, losing their ninth-straight game on Saturday in a 13-2 loss to the Padres. On July 26, Pittsburgh was tied for first in NL Central. They then lost to the Braves in 19 innings. Since then, the Pirates have the worst record in baseball and its pitching staff is last in ERA, opponent batting average and home runs allowed. "We've got to get back to the attitude we had at the beginning of the season," outfielder Garrett Jones said. "Get our mindset back to where it was. Get that swagger -- that was the word we were using -- and that attitude of 'We're gonna win every game.'"
