Bobby Abreu saw his $9 million option for next season vest when he came to the plate late in Sunday night's game against the Tigers. He needed 1,100 combined plate appearances between this season and the last to activate the option. Abreu, 37, has hit a respectable .264/.380/.354 for the Angels this season, but his power numbers have decreased.
