Major League sources said Friday that the Mets are not close to trading All-Star outfielder Carlos Beltran. However, The New York Daily News writes that there is virtually no doubt that Beltran will be traded this week. The Mets are hoping to receive top prospects in return via a trade with suitors such as Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston and Atlanta.
