The Blue Jays designated outfielder Juan Rivera for assignment on Sunday, giving them 10 days to work out a trade or have another team claim him. "We're getting near the non-waiver trade deadline," general manager Alex Anthopoulos told reporters. "We might be able to work something out, a few teams have asked about him." To fill Rivera's spot, Toronto recalled outfielder Travis Snider. Jays manager John Farrell said the Jays are going to stick with Snider, who was elevated from triple-A Las Vegas Sunday.
