Braves right-hander Jair Jurrjens won his 11th game on Friday night as he helped defeat the Orioles in interleague play. He allowed just one hit against Baltimore in the shutout victory. Jurrjens became the first National League pitcher to reach 11 wins, joining the American League's CC Sabathia and Justin Verlander for the lead in all of baseball. He also sports baseball's lowest ERA (1.89). His production in the first half of the season is impressive, but it becomes even more so when you consider how his season began. Jurrjens didn't make his season debut until April 16 against the Mets. He is 11-3 in 15 starts since with two complete games. He began the season on the disabled list with a right oblique strain, costing him two, maybe three, starts in April. Had he made those starts, Jurrjens could be looking at 12, 13 or even 14 wins heading into his final start before the All-Star break.
