The Cubs took reliever Kerry Wood off the disabled list for Friday's game against the White Sox. He had been on the DL with a blister on his right index finger. Upon his return to the Cubs, Wood has heard his name come up in trade rumors. However, the veteran doesn't expect to be dealt prior to the July 31 deadline. "It would have to be something that is definitely going to help this organization down the road and something that's going to fit for us, which is, right now, here," he said. "I know the talk's going to come. I've already been hearing it. So we can address it now. "I doubt it. We're committed here. We've got (a charity) event in September. So I'll just leave it at that. I don't see it. I don't see it happening."
