Tim Wakefield guided the Red Sox to yet another victory on Sunday, striking out a season-high six and walking just one in a 12-3 win over the Brewers.
He is 4-2 on the season.
"I've got a more consistent job right now," Wakefield said.
"Last year was a lot of inconsistencies with what I was doing -- bullpen, start, bullpen, start, back to the bullpen. It's nice to have a routine and get some repetition on working on stuff on the side rather than hoping it's there when the game starts out of the bullpen. It's been a pleasure so far."
Wakefield, 44, has replaced the injured Daisuke Matsuzaka in Boston's starting rotation.
