The Nationals continue to look for a center fielder and they have interest in Tampa Bay's B.J. Upton, according to a source. Upton, a native of Virginia and a childhood friend of Washington third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, is excellent defensively, but he is having a down year at the plate. Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo believes a change of scenery would help Upton's career. It was reported last April that the Nationals had been scouting Upton, but the club didn't have interest in acquiring him at that time.
