With days off on Thursday and Monday, the Red Sox have been able to rework their starting rotation so their three best pitchers can face the Yankees next week. Jon Lester open the series next Tuesday night in New York on seven days rest. He will be followed by Clay Buchholz and Josh Beckett, each of whom will be pitching on their normal four days of rest.
