The Rangers placed outfielder Julio Borbon on the disabled list Saturday with inflammation of his left hamstring. Borbon, who was hitting .270, left Friday's game against the Angels after running down a fly ball in the top of the seventh inning. To replace Borbon, the Rangers called up Endy Chavez from Triple-A Round Rock. The Rangers currently have left fielder Josh Hamilton and right fielder Nelson Cruz on the disabled list as well.
