Neftali Feliz says he has no plans to start for the Rangers.
Feliz, the reigning American League Rookie of Year, doesn't just want to closer for the remainder of the season, but the rest of his career as well.
"I spent most of spring training as a starter and I enjoyed it," Feliz said. "But I'm a closer now, and God willing I'll remain a closer the rest of my career. I made the decision that I won't start anymore."
After failing to re-sign Cliff Lee in the offseason, the Rangers stretched out Feliz during the spring and pondered having him return to the starting role he performed during most of his minor-league career.
