Though Miguel Tejada took his .200 batting average to the bench Thursday, Giants manager Bruce Bochy maintained faith in his 36-year-old shortstop. Tejada entered the series finale against the Pirates hitting .097 (3-for-31) with three RBIs in his previous nine games. But Bochy suggested that Tejada soon will regain the form that enabled him to take a .287 lifetime batting average into this season.
