Gabe Gross has decided to retire from major league baseball after 10 seasons. Gross, 31, signed a minor-league deal with the Marlins last week, but after further consideration decided not to pursue their offer. "I didn't think it was right for me or my family if I couldn't do it 100 percent," he said. "Sometimes you've just got to move on...For 10 years I've been able to provide for my family through baseball. I've been extremely blessed." His final major league at-bat came with the Athletics last season.
