The Red Sox dodged a bullet on Sunday night when first baseman Adrian Gonzalez was unharmed in the fifth inning. Gonzalez appeared to be hit on both hands by a pitch from New York's CC Sabathia. "It actually just made it numb," Gonzalez said. "It didn't give it, like, pain or anything. It just made it numb for a while. I just kept moving it to try to get some feeling there." Gonzalez remained in the game as Boston won their second of the season.
