Jorge Posada is open to playing for another team if he feels he can contribute next season and the Yankees don't have a role for him.
Posada, who will turn 40 during the upcoming season, is New York's new designated hitter after more than a dozen years at catcher.
"I feel like I can keep playing, I feel like I can still contribute," Posada said.
"That's the toughest one," he said of the possibility of moving to another team. "I really don't want to go anywhere else. I would like to stay here."
If the Yankees don't want him back in 2012 and the situation is right, he'll put on another jersey.
"I would, if it's the right situation," he explained. "It's got to be the right situation."
