Chien-Ming Wang had an appearance on Friday shortened to one inning because of stiffness in his surgically repaired right shoulder. It seems unlikely that Wang will be ready at the start of the regular season. "He threw an inning yesterday and said, 'That's enough,' " manager Jim Riggleman said. "That doesn't tell me he's on pace for April." Riggleman said that a May return seems more realistic.
