Bobby Jenks completely understands his role with the Red Sox as their bridge to closer Jonathan Papelbon. The big righty has been a closer since almost the day he first arrived in the Major Leagues with the White Sox in 2005. "We're fine," Jenks said. "Like I said before, I didn't come here to step on anybody's toes. I know what my role is. Coming in here, we've been friends for many years now. I don't think that's going to be any problem throughout the year at all."
