Freddy Garcia aka. "The Cheif" is not commenting on reports from his home country Venezuela that he tested positive for marijuana. According to the Venezuelan newspaper Lider, Garcia violated the International Baseball Amateur Federation's anti-doping policy when marijuana was found in his urine in a test administered after Venezuela's game against the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic in March. The test was administered before Garcia had pitched for Venezuela in a game. The point is moot as Major League Baseball currently has no penalty for marijuana use.
