Michael Young said Wednesday that he definitely wants to remain with the Rangers. Texas signed third baseman Adrian Beltre to a $96 million contract this week. "When it comes to baseball, I try to focus on things I can focus on and control," Young said during a conference call. "It's clear that I want to pay with the Rangers. That's the only part that matters to me. I'm willing to make some pretty big sacrifices to do that. This move is pretty significant in terms of my career path. How it's viewed by others is not important to me. It's important for me to focus on the job I've got to do." Young said he's never played first base at any level, but is willing to learn the position.
