The Twins opened Target Field with a payroll over $100 million this past season and Buster Olney of ESPN.com writes that a natural adjustment is being made. Fans have taken to the new stadium and Minnesota has allowed players to walk away this offseason. "There was virtually no discussion between the Twins and Matt Guerrier and Jesse Crain -- while trading J.J. Hardy and replacing Orlando Hudson with Tsuysohi Nishioka. Jim Thome hasn't re-signed, either," Olney wrote. The Twins are also deciding whether or not they can re-sign Carl Pavano.
