Greg Maddux's future was on the mind of Dusty Baker before Tuesday's game at Dodger Stadium, and the question of how long the 40-year-old right-hander can continue to pitch was put to the Cubs manager. "At this point it's hard to imagine him not pitching forever," Baker said. "Who knows? Roger [Clemens] was [43] and had excellence, so who's to say?" With Maddux's sizzling start, is it a no-brainer the Cubs will be discussing a contract extension at the end of the season? "Or maybe before [the end]," Baker replied. "Who knows? It's kind of how he feels."
