The Mets and reliever Francisco Rodriguez has finally settled their high-profile grievance.
Under the agreement, the Mets stopped trying to convert the remainder of his contract to non-guaranteed.
Rodriguez's fight with his girlfriend's father cost the New York reliever more than $3.14 million in addition to more than seven weeks on the sidelines.
He tore a ligament in the thumb of his pitching hand while punching his girlfriend's father outside a family lounge at Citi Field on Aug. 11.
