Tony La Russa is mulling over an offer to manage the Cardinals next season.
La Russa met with general manager John Mozeliak and team chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. on Monday, when the offer was made.
He has managed the Cardinals for the past 15 seasons.
"I think it is an issue. Fifteen years is a long time for one guy in one place," La Russa said. "As great as this place is, at some point it's going to be good when the new guy comes in. I think it's going to refresh the whole situation."
