Manager Dusty Baker got a two-year contract extension through 2012 for leading the Reds to their first playoff appearance in 15 years. Baker was in the final year of his three-year deal. He said he wanted an extension of two years in part because he?s superstitious, according to an Associated Press report. ?I?ve had some of my best success on two-year contracts,? Baker said Monday. ?I don?t know why.?
