Angels right-hander John Lackey has agreed to a three-year, $17.01 million contract, FOXSports.com has learned. The deal includes a club option for a fourth year that could bring the potential value of the package to more than $27 million. The option, covering Lackey's first year of free agency, would be worth a minimum of $9 million and maximum of $10.5 million. Lackey's new deal replaces the one-year, $3.76 million contract he signed with the Angels during the off-season as a first-year arbitration player.
