Once again the White Sox used the ninth inning for their moment of glory. Just one day after Timo Perez hit a two-run single, Jermaine Dye led off the ninth inning with a walkoff home run. "I was just excited to help this team win," said Dye, who had two hits for the second straight game. "Coming around third, you see everyone jumping around at home plate and all you do is cover up and just celebrate. It was fun." Dye's drive off Brendan Donnelly (2-1) just cleared the wall in left-center field and gave the White Sox a series victory following a three-game slide. Chicago has the best record in the majors at 35-17. "It was great," White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. "I wish we wouldn't wait until the last inning to win. But a win is a win. Especially against that team. I think that team, to me, is the best team in the American League that we've seen."
